Old cosplay community, where you can never hear the names of the sisters, the infamous pervs, , or uprising famewhores today.
Back then, there were some fights and all, but not into small things. No lampshade-hitting-threats, no cocky-cockless so called pervographers who think they’re great just because they’re holding a DSLR.

Try to compare the cosplay community with the OPM and WWE industries where each con is as similar to each music festival and pay-per-view event. Let’s pick a good annual example: Ozine Fest, Wrestlemania, and PULP Summer Slam.
My first attendance in Ozine Fest was back in 2008. Nothing extraordinary much and everyone’s having fun as usual. Just like my first attendance in PULP Summer Slam V way back in 2005, no foreign headliners. Just like the former Wrestlemanias this decade, but more decent.
As time passes by, more big names have entered the community. This is also synonymous to how Lamb Of God and Anthrax took Metro Manila by storm, respectively, and also synonymous to how The Rock made his comeback. But here’s the bad part. The ones that DegoChi have mentioned are somewhat considered a “threat” to the cosplay community, which is ALSO synonymous to how many jejemons and bollocks as well as ninja pickpocketers are there in attendance in the PULP; and also the dreaded PG-13 era of WWE plagued by Cenation!
The bottom line is that even though as time passes by, there are good and bad things spawning in the so-called “evolution” of our community.

I know Erskine personally, and I do admit he is a bit socially awkward. Although everyone who knows him will say they same, he means well. He is a good person at heart, he just doesn’t know how to act with people.
Yes he is extremely active on facebook, but you know what? He gives EVERYONE the exact same kind of attention.
