The Philippine cosplay scene looks bleak.
Just look at those so called “COSPLAY PHOTOGRAPHERS”.
They just mob some random chicks. I don’t consider them cosplayers since their costumes were usually lacking. It’s all about their “pretty” faces or sexy bodies.
I saw these 2 dead masters at a certain event. They deserved to be flocked at because I think their DM cosplays looked awesome. Guess what? Almost no one from these photographer guys gave a fuck because they’re not that “pretty” or “sexy”.
I can bet, these kind of situations also occurred to other cosplayers who were there for the cosplay and not modelling.
Maybe these photographers are the same groups of people who flock to car shows just for the sexy models and not the automobiles.

I honestly think that in Cosplay, beautiful and handsome appearance is a bonus but what matters is the passion & hardwork for making and doing the cosplay.
I’d rather see bunch of cosplayers who aren’t so physically gifted with accurately done costumes and being in character than beautiful or handsome ones with effortless looking costumes and out of whack emulations of characters..

I used to w0w at cosplayers with all those impressive costumes and pretty faces but now, I can’t stop myself looking at them with bias. I couldn’t help thinking that they just go and cosplay in conventions just to show everyone how pretty or handsome they are, then be scouted into the media like that girl this blog entry talks about.
I really wish I could go back in time and somehow stop those media firms from making Cosplay segments in TV.

after reading this article i found out about her and saw her pictures in her page, it’s so obvious.. the photoshop on her SKIN -_- alright i’m captain obvious ryt now lol. if she’s proud of herself, she should NOT be “bleaching” herself in photos.. in pictures you’ll think she’s snow-white-fair but in tv and her pbb main pic she’s NOT.. myrtle, being not too radiantly fair isn’t bad, so please love your own skin.. there so many girls pretty in morena so please stop with the too much light and too much make up.. and wait, i just realized this why are some cosplayers applying TOO MUCH make up and inch-thick foundation etc when the characters they are cosplaying aren’t bathed in make up? tifa lockheart is obviously make-up free in ff.. its ok if you’re cosplaying ultimecia coz she has make up in ff but in ordinary school girl ect cosplay you shouldn’t be painting your own face -_- sakure of naruto is make up free but girls in convention are wearing inch-thick and rainbow colored make up in cosplaying sakura.. why would sakure fight with ninjas wearing heavy make up.. alright make up isnt bad and its legit in cosplaying even if it’s a simple-looking character but what i’m saying is the TOO MUCH make up.. i think powder and a light lip balm or lipstick is ok to prevent oil and drying of the lips but not the unneccessary touch-ups they use -_-
